PW7's Library & Guides

Communications Start Below

Communication is the lifeblood of society. As a subscriber to PrivateWeb7 (PW7), you can have totally private conversations with other subscribers and non-subscribers (guests).

Login from any of the following:

Login takes you to your dashboard. If you prefer names for the left side menu, click the chevron (left pointing tip of an arrow). It’s on the top, left of ‘Dashboard’ text and right of the PW7 logo.

Account Settings (Your Avatar)

In this section, you may change your username and add an avatar. In PW7, your personal information is private, encrypted, and secure. Using an Avatar within PW7 can enhance your privacy experience.

Your Passphrase

Your passphrase activates communications inside your private cloud. You copied your passphrase during the PW7 verification process. It will look something like this but not the same words:

telescope curve distance dog fire atom wine blue stage maple mixture noble

To activate text/voice/video, simply click on Subscriber Support on the menu. A popup appears for you to enter your passphrase. If nothing pops up, then communications are already activated.

NOTE OUR EXTRA SECURITY: If you’re doing something different than the PW7 system expects or is common for you, then you will be asked to input your passphrase again. It may come as a popup where you are in the system or a blue button will appear asking for your passphrase again.

If you’re unsure at any time whether your passphrase is active or not, simply click the Subscriber Support link on the menu and follow the instructions above.

Adding a Contact

To add a contact:

  • The contact must be a paid plan subscriber
  • You must have the exact email address or username to search
  • Click on Contacts and the Contacts tab
  • Use the search box on the top right
  • Contacts with that name will appear below
  • Click Add Contact
  • A notification request is sent to the new contact to accept

NOTE: You receive contact requests in the notification icon on the top right or in the Requests tab in Contacts.

Using Text/Voice/Video

In communications, click on the Messages. Under the message tab, there will be a list of your active contacts. You may sort by username, join date, or search for an individual. Click on the contact you want and their account will open on the right. Use the text box to send text messages or click on the icon for voice or voice/video. The Call tab works in a similar manner. Clicking a contact will open the call app and details for that contact.

Inviting a Guest (Not a PW7 Subscriber)

This is an exciting feature you’ll only find at PrivateWeb7. You may invite one or more guests for private communications; they do not need to be subscribers of PW7.

Click on Communications in your menu. Then on ‘Invite Guest(s)’. Enter your topic for the call, describe the topic, and enter each guest’s email. An email invitation with a link is sent to each guest. Each guest goes through the PW7 verification process, receives their own passphrase, and then can join the call.

The guest is considered in our PW7 Free Plan and may retain that free position. As a Free Plan subscriber to PW7, the guest won’t need to go through verification if invited to a different conference.

Note: When the call is completed, the guest retains their free position so they don’t have to go through the verification for a different call where they are invited again as a guest. They must keep their passphrase which provides limited access.
